Our client is a thriving local engineering business with a strong client base across the UK and Ireland. Due to retirement they are now seeking an experienced General Manager to join their South Down based team.
Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for a number of functions across the business including HR, Transport, Marketing, Contractual and Insurance matters, Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality.
Sitting as part of the senior leadership team, the successful General Manager will lead operational and budgetary management, service levels and performance ensuring exceptional levels of service are delivered to customers.
Criteria:
· A strong background in management / leadership with a proven track record in achieving excellent results
· Experience working at a strategic and operational level to deliver KPIs in Safety, Quality, Service and Efficiency
· Previous experience working with contractors and managing contracts
· Previous relevant experience within engineering, manufacturing, construction or similar
· Ability to manage cross functional teams
· Excellent communication skills
Salary is in the region of £60k depending on experience plus benefits including healthcare and car.
